Class Information and schedule—new classes starting in January 2022

All classes will be five sessions. Class tuition: $160. for five weeks, paid in advance by check or CC/PayPal.

Covid protocols: My goal is to create a safe, supportive and healthy environment where participants can relax and enjoy themselves. With that in mind, while Covid remains a problem in Maine, all participants must have proof of vaccination and wear a mask in the studio. Also, for the time being, class sizes will be limited to four students.

Most art materials will be acrylic or water-based. The studio has climate control and ventilation.

Winter 2022 Schedule:

Morning Painting Studio – Wednesdays 10:00am-12:00pm 

Wednesdays: Starts January 12, 2022 9:30am, ends Feb.9, 2022 12:00pm

Nancy will work with students to develop individual projects and pursue new painting skills. Learn to develop an intention for your work and apply mindfulness to your creative practice. Materials are available for your exploration. Learn to use the wide variety of acrylic glazes and mediums. All levels invited, but a pre-course personal consult with Nancy is requested to make sure this is an appropriate class for you. 

Mandala Studio: Wednesday evenings 7:00-9:00pm 

Starts Wednesday, January 12, 2022, ends Feb.9 2021

This class will focus on developing and creating personal mandalas. Mandalas can bring focus and a centering effect into our life. Painting mandalas and incorporating mandala patterns into our creative work is a powerful means of expression and a way to connect with our inner guidance. 

Paint Furniture and Objects Like a Pro, Thursdays 9:30:00am-12:00

Starts Thursday, January 13, 2022, ends February 10

Learn the basics and tricks of the trade— how to create beautiful finishes on objects or small furniture pieces. Up-cycle your old worn out stuff. First class will focus on ideas and preparation; students will then bring in objects for painting.

Gild it! Gold and Metal leaf workshop Thursdays 2:30pm-5:00pm 

Starts January 13, 2022 ends February 10

Learn to use gold, silver and copper metal leaf in a range of projects, from fine art work on canvas or panels, to decorative or small furniture items. This is a wonderful, fun skill for anyone who loves to paint, decorate and create magic.
